I’ve wanted to do numbers for some time now on the risers. Not wanting to order decals from an online source, ready for instant gratification, I headed to Joanne Fabric’s. I found in their seasonal aisle the large numbers and was pleased but they were a bit boxy and I wouldn’t have minded some flourish, so I kept looking. I then found a “fluffy” quote—you know the kind. BUT, it had the words “count” “your” “blessings” in it. So I bought both the numbers and the quote and put the words on every 3rd (or so) riser between the numbers. I think it looks pretty cool and I know in my family a little reminder about our blessings doesn’t hurt. Above is a pic of the almost completed project along with my cute helper for the day.

We had a packed day ahead of us with scheduled meetings at several fashion showrooms in the garment district and then down to the piers to the Intermezzo fashion shows to meet with a few of our vendors as well as search for new sources.

We had a great time and left the city tired but satisfied. We met with everyone we had intended to, added a few fabulous cuts of jeans to an already existing order due in the store spring/summer. We were thrilled with what we saw for summer lines of Velvet by Graham & Spencer and some very pretty, special pieces of Tucker by Gaby Basora. We are contemplating a new high end jean line and found a new handbag source we are excited about. More details to come.

Saule was 1st introduced to James 6-7 years ago when the company 1st launched and still owns the pair that she bought back then. They are form fitting but with a nice stretch that offers comfort. They have a pocket detailing that is slimming in the rear and a rise that is comfortable to the stylish yet active woman who doesn’t want to look like a plumber! We have more styles on the way in January, February and March as well as this great Twiggy cut due in the store next week.
